Hill Top Fiasco

Thoughts from the Commissioner.

Well, what a memory we all have after the "fiasco at Hilltop". I am always astonished at the positive outlook this group has towards their Sunday Funday golf. My group of Mira, D1 and myself tee'd off last, and the wind and rain were comical. Gust of 40 miles per hour added to the fun. My range finder was not geared to give me a proper reading in 40 mile per hour winds and rain. Dean, Nicole and Bob (KC took the morning off) tallied the high score of 23. (Shocker). Big Jim and tiny dancer Julie netted a 22 along with Dennis and pig tailed Dodi. Surprisingly, Mira, D1 and #5 totaled a 21. Sam and Sue's score was a 20. Please keep Sue off the sauce. 2 bloody Mary's were plenty. Carmen and Jon took an 18, while Andrea, "why are we fucking playing in this shit storm" and new clubs, Wayne crawled in at a 15. Dave and Deb slithered in with a 13.

As commissioner, I have decided to adjust some rules for the remainder of the winter 2023 season. Much to Carmen's delight, women can now tee off from the green tees or the gold tees, it is their choice. Also, I will give bonus points on the 9th hole. Call me the more kind and gentler top 5 commissioner.

Last Sunday was a fun kinda sucky. You didn't really want to be there, but what else would you be doing if you weren't out on the golf course. Just the opposite feeling I had when my brother (who is 8 years older) told me I wasn't brave enough to eat 3 worms. He said he would give me a quarter for each worm. 75 cents bought a lot of candy back in the day. I didn't want to be known as a wuss, so of course I ate the 3 worms. It was a Sunday and my mother told me not to get dirty before church. Since I got some worm guts and dirt on my face, my mother took a picture of me. It was like a mugshot.

Next time we play at Hilltop, I am going to Chilli's and will not be talked into Orange Blossom. Did you see the 4 scrawny chicken strips I got for $12.99? Unreal.

Next week I will discuss the week's results.
